The Holocaust, A Survivor’s Testimony’ where Manfred Goldberg MBE, who recently passed away, spoke to Chichester Residents about his experience in the Holocaust.
Manfred shared his story from being born in 1930 in Kassel in central Germany to 1941 when Manfred, his mother and younger brother were deported by train from Germany to the Riga Ghetto in Latvia and then in 1943 being sent to a nearby labour camp where he was forced to work laying railway tracks before after numerous trials finally being liberated at Neustadt in Germany on 3 May 1945.
